Subang Jaya, 8 June 2023 – MCT Berhad (“MCT”), an emerging property developer won two awards for its projects in this year’s Asia Pacific Property Awards held in Bangkok, Thailand.

The double victory for MCT is for these awards:

  2. Alira Subang Jaya: Residential High-Rise Architecture - Malaysia

The Asia Pacific Property Awards is a regional award that celebrates the highest levels of achievement in the architecture, interior design, real estate and property development sectors in the Asia Pacific.

“We are honoured with this achievement as a Malaysian property developer competing at the Asia Pacific level. These recognition and awards validate the standards and strategic direction that our team has embraced on our transformation journey to position MCT as one of the choice developers in Malaysia,” said Teh Heng Chong, Chief Executive Officer of MCT.

“We couldn’t have made it without the dedication and efforts of our team who has made these award-winning projects a reality. Our team believes in continuous improvement and want our customers to know we have their best interest in our mind,” he added.

This victory at the Asia Pacific Property Awards comes on top of the six awards that MCT won at the recent StarProperty Awards 2023 in May this year.

Aetas Damansara is MCT's first luxury development spanning 1.8 acres and is situated adjacent to the prestigious Tropicana Golf and Country Resort in Petaling Jaya. It comprises 226 units and has an estimated GDV of RM575 million.

Meanwhile, Alira Subang Jaya is a freehold development comprising of serviced residences and low-rise villas located at Subang Jaya. Its Phase 1 and 2 has a total of 832 units and has an estimated GDV of RM577 million.

One of MCT's pillars of success is focusing on standardisation as a key operative strategy where its design and product branding cater to the different market segments that MCT serves. “This helps boost our speed to market as we embark on our growth plans. It also better manage our costs to improve performance and ultimately deliver quality products to our respective customers,” Aw Sei Cheh, Chief Operating Officer of MCT explained.

On top of developing award-winning projects, MCT is also embracing Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) as part of its key business practices. Collaborating with Green Real Estate (GreenRE) Malaysia, a green building certification agency, all of MCT new projects would be certified as Green Developments.

“We emphasize on sustainability and eco-friendly features that benefit our customers and provide value in terms of design and functionality. For example, all units in our Aetas Damansara development come with a naturally lighted private lift lobby. The foyer also comes fitted with breezeway for natural ventilation. These energy-efficient features help to decrease the use of electricity and reduce carbon emissions. Meanwhile, our Alira Subang Jaya residences utilizes recycled rainwater for landscape irrigation which saves water consumption and maintenance cost,” highlighted Teh.
